Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how "We Are Rich" (the “App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Android mobile application. This document is intended to be clear, professional, and direct.

Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate the App and provide its core functionality.

Data You Provide Directly

• Username — your chosen display name.
• Reason Text — the message or story you write.
• Profile Image (optional) — an image you upload.
• Website URL (optional) — a link you provide.

Data Collected/Generated Automatically (for Functionality)

• Installation ID — a unique UUID generated by the App at installation time. It is used for authentication and session management.
• Recovery Code Hash — a secure SHA-256 hash of your Recovery Code, used only to verify your identity during account recovery. The plaintext Recovery Code is shown to you once in-app and is not stored by us.

How We Use Your Data

• Core Functionality and Public Display — your Username, Reason Text, Profile Image, and Website URL are designed to be public within the App. They may appear in the “Guestbook” and the “Wall of Shame.”
• Authentication — the Installation ID links your device to your profile and helps keep your session active.
• Account Recovery — the Recovery Code Hash allows us to verify your recovery request if you reinstall the App or switch devices.
• Moderation — we review Username, Reason Text, and Website URL to filter inappropriate or spam content and to maintain a safe and consistent experience for users.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Marketing/Advertising Sharing — we do not sell or share your personal data (including Installation ID or Recovery Code Hash) with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
• Public by Design — the profile fields you submit (Username, Reason Text, Profile Image, Website URL) are public within the App by design. Do not submit content you are not comfortable sharing publicly.
• Service Providers — we may use infrastructure/service providers solely to operate, host, and deliver the App (for example, cloud hosting or storage). These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
• Legal Compliance — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the operation of the App.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure communication with our API (e.g., HTTPS/TLS) and hashing of Recovery Codes (SHA-256). However, no security method is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your profile data for as long as your profile exists. If you remove your profile, your public data (e.g., Username, Reason Text, Profile Image, Website URL) will be deleted from our active database. Some limited residual copies or backups may persist for a short period for operational continuity and security.

Your Choices and Rights

• Remove My Profile — you can remove your profile at any time using the “Remove my profile” feature in the App. This triggers permanent deletion of your public data from the active database.
• Regenerate Recovery Code — while logged in, you can request a new Recovery Code, which invalidates the previous one.
• Recover Profile — if you reinstall or switch devices, you can recover your profile by entering your Recovery Code on the new device.
• Update Profile — you can edit your Username, Reason Text, Profile Image, and Website URL directly in the App.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

International Data Transfers

The App may be operated using global infrastructure. Your information may be processed and stored in servers located outside of your country of residence. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy regardless of where it is processed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the revised Policy.
